It’s this time of year that you never know when someone will stop by for a quick hello. Once the house is cleaned up and ready, I like to prepare a homemade dessert. Simplicity is the key, which is why I love this Apple Crisp Dessert.
It’s so simple, easy to make and delicious — just the right amount of tangy and sweet. It’s a great excuse to pull out the Kitchen Aid – Pro 5 Plus 5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer – Ink Blue” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>KitchenAid mixer.
Plus, this apple crisp reminds me of my mom. She used to bake this when I was growing up. Now it’s such a sweet reminder of childhood and our family dinners. As I think back to my childhood and all of the magic I felt in the holidays, I realize now that the magic I felt was really just the huge amount of love my parents put into making us feel special. That’s the feeling I’m reminded of when I enjoy this crisp. I hope that my kids will grow to love this one and what it represents to me.
