Happy Valentine’s Day! In honor of this day we made a pink strawberry banana smoothie and cupcakes. So good!
Becoming a mom is such a cool thing because it truly changes your perspective on love. This used to be the holiday I looked forward to with romantic love for Ned, drawing his name in hearts on my notebook. It is still that of course, but now there’s a whole new level and kind of love to celebrate.
I love crafting with the kids. There are so many great seasonal crafts out there from super creative moms and I find myself scrolling through them trying to decide what would be fun or would look really cool. This is just a little reminder that the most important thing about the crafts is that it is time spent together. It’s not a competition.
That’s my favorite gift. Time. These are the moments that mean the most to me. They’re the ones I’m going to remember. Model love and your kids will take that into the world with them.
So, this Valentine’s Day I wanted to make Annie a pink smoothie using one of her favorite fruits, strawberries. It’s pretty simple and delicious. I paired this Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Valentine’s Day funfetti cupcakes from a box with vanilla frosting from a can. Not everything has to be homemade in my house.
For this recipe I decided to really punch up the strawberry flavor. Instead of using vanilla Greek Yogurt I went with strawberry and opted for the lower sugar yogurt because that was an option, and I was adding in plenty of sugar with the cupcakes.
I hope you enjoy this Strawberry Banana Smoothie treat!
